Political Leaders Across Party Lines Extend Birthday Greetings to G. Kishan Reddy as Coal Stockyard Probe Demand Gains Attention
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy received birthday greetings from senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, chief ministers, and opposition figures on his 66th birthday. The celebrations coincided with ongoing discussion over his demand for an investigation into the alleged disappearance of 40 lakh tonnes of coal worth ₹1,600 crore from Singareni Collieries Company Limited stockyards.
Prominent Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and S. Jaishankar, conveyed their best wishes to Reddy, praising his commitment to public welfare and his efforts toward modernization within the mining industry. Several chief ministers also joined in extending greetings, recognizing his long-standing service in public life.
In a notable display of political goodwill, opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also sent birthday wishes, reflecting the broad respect enjoyed by the Union Minister across the political spectrum. The Office of the Chief Minister of Telangana issued a message wishing him good health, happiness, and continued service to the nation and the state.
The birthday celebrations also highlighted Reddy’s ideological roots in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and his role in national politics since assuming his current responsibilities in June 2024. Supporters and political colleagues emphasized his dedication to governance, development, and administrative reforms.
At the same time, public discussion surrounding Reddy’s recent letter seeking a probe into allegedly missing coal stocks continued to attract attention. In the communication, he called for an investigation into the reported disappearance of approximately 40 lakh tonnes of coal, estimated to be worth around ₹1,600 crore, from the stockyards of Singareni Collieries Company Limited. The issue has gained significance amid reports that the company has outstanding dues of approximately ₹51,500 crore payable to the state government.
The convergence of widespread political appreciation and growing scrutiny over the coal stock allegations placed G. Kishan Reddy at the center of both celebration and policy debate, underscoring his continuing influence in public affairs and the broader significance of accountability within the mining sector.
